Been looking through the various documents on the WBC's website and there doesn't appear to be a set fee for the 'silver' bauble. I suspect this is intentional so that it's left negotiable, allowing the promoter to effectively buy a ranking. How else to explain Bakary Samake being ranked #1 in the sport's most competitive division?
It will be interesting to see where Ben Whittaker ends up after paying for the vacant 'silver' bauble which he contests against an unranked journeyman.
