In defense of that one Mailbag comment, this is what Bread wrote last week:

”I am a fan of Liston. I went to his book signing here in Philadelphia at the African American Museum in downtown Philly.

That does read like he is saying he went to see Sonny Liston signing a book. Not to see some other guy signing a book about Sonny Liston, as he clarified this week.

Yes, the ambiguity lies in the phrase 'His book signing.'

I'm pretty sure Bread was aware of that when he wrote it and maybe chuckled to himself, but also, how do you phrase that more accurately without using unneccesarily wordy explanation?

Bread talks as if Boots vs. Vergil is definitely happening next. I hope he's correct, but I haven't heard Ortiz Jr. confirm it, so I have doubts! I don't like these fighters facing each other in a non-title fight, but Bread is on point, TOO MUCH MARINATING RUINS THE MEAT! It's go time! Even though it's not a title fight, it would be the biggest fight in the division, if not the sport! Boots vs. Murtazliev is probably more competitive, but no one knows Murtazliev, they know Vergil Ortiz Jr.!

Echols was a C-level fighter journeymen fighter at best, with heart, if your best wins are against this type of fighter, you should be embarrassed to go to hall of fame. Danny, best win was against kid chocolate, yep that kid chocolate Jacob’s you’ve got to be kidding
