Comments Thread For: David Benavidez won?t return to 168lbs for Terence Crawford

Benavidez long waited for a shot at Saul "Canelo" Alvarez before moving up to light heavyweight. He has no desire to drop back down to 168lbs for the man who recently beat Canelo.

Bud knows he has to go to 175 for a once in lifetime chance to be 6 and 7 division champ. Not many even get opportunity to as it's too far out of reach. He's nearly there, hes within touching distance

Big respect to Benavidez here. I think his attitude is really refreshing. So many fighters just chase paydays and essentially waste their careers just waiting around.

If Bivol won’t fight me, I’ll fight the best available contenders instead like Morrell and Yarde, if Canelo won’t fight me, I’ll fight the next best available contenders in Plant and Andrade. Ironically enough Andrade had the exact opposite attitude and wasted years fighting C/D class fighters hoping for that phone call.

I really hope he gets to fight Bivol/Beterbiev next year, I make him the underdog in both, but he certainly deserves a shot.

bud has turki to thank of course for making his career but he also needs to thank the wbc for protecting their little ginger nut for so many years and serving him up on a plate to bud, if benny had beat canelo it wouldnt have even meant that much, he would be just too big like bivol was

I see no reason why he should.

              His fights are at 175.

No rematch between Crawford and clenelo because it would be even easier. Crawford should just retire unless there's a big money fight at 160
