To make it worse, some assume that it applies to those of us that aren't from the US. 30 years ago some girl bugged me to the word "ask" over and over and was disappointed because they had been going around telling people that we can only say "axe".

I won't even go into what happens when outsiders go work in that country lol. Let's just say that you're labeled as a sellout or fake despite being African from a line of chiefs that goes back hundreds of years.
