The fallout has been loud, and not many in boxing seem too happy that Gervonta Davis' next fight date will feature jake Paul in the opposite corner

If the money and interest is there then so be it but my question is how much "fight" is there going to be in this "exhibition" between lightweight and cruiserweight.

Are they actually going for full contact aggression or is this a glorified sparring session for the easy money. If it is the latter then it's just bad boxing theater.

The initial press conference ad weigh in will have the ******est look ever. Tank will look like a midget standing next to Jake Rupaul

Jake has the "50/50 Rule" going for him. Either his opponents are over 50 years of age OR he has a 50 lb. weight advantage. Very consistent.

Anyone wearing a MaGa hat will love it. They will believe it's a legit fight and will battle for front row seats.

TBF, Tank coming from West Baltimore and making it big in boxing is a remarkable achievement. A lot of those cats are dead or in jail, I'd wager. That said, it was funny when asked if he'd give Pitbull a rematch, he said, "HELL, NO!!" At least he was honest . Now, the Roach thing makes him look like a bitch, having lost according to the rules, then ghosting the rematch. As a Baltimore native, I must say, I'm disappointed.

Strangely vitriolic response, Mr. Smash. =) You quote my line summing up both sides of the coin — that Davis has made a lot of money in the sport, which is great for him, but that he's done so without proving his greatness — which somewhat aligns with your viewpoint about hype vs. reality. As I said earlier in that same mailbag entry, "It’s impossible to know for sure just how talented Davis is until we see him in the ring with the other top names from his weight class."

Despite the vitriol, thank you for commenting.
                    Cheers!
                    -David
