If Crawford moves up 2 divisions and beats Canelo will it be a better win than Mayweather's 2013 win over Canelo?

People forget that Bud turns 38 this month, and that he's essentially moving up three weight classes inside a year. He also has only had one fight @ 154 a year ago. Given these facts, if he beats Canelo, it will not only be greater than Mayweather's win over him, it will be a freaking miracle. And I'm not even a Canelo fan. Bud's newly-found muscles will weigh him down and feel like lead by the 4th or 5th round. His underdeveloped legs will struggle to nimbly move the extra weight, and fail to generate the power that he needs to keep Alvarez at bay. Crawford will lose this fight.

If Canelo had beaten the 'old' 36yo Floyd he faced back then people would've instantly declared him the best fighter in the world and p4p#1. Therefore, Crawford deserves the SAME accolades if he defeats 35yo Canelo next week.

I expect bud to win handily as Canelo has looked terrible and age has certainly caught up to him

The Canelo Floyd fight was shrouded in mystery for me personally but this one i see Bud dominating quite easily

His upper body is shredded, but his legs still look like sticks in comparison. The power of a boxer generates up from the legs. Anyone who knows anything about boxing, knows that being ripped doesn't guarantee a win.

Oh and Canelo asked for that catchweight, he actually wanted 150 but they negotiated 152. There was an article here on boxingscene about it.
Wrong! It was Mayweather who wanted to drain Alvarez down to 150. They settled on 152 after Saul stated that he could not make 150. Red actually wanted to fight @ 154.

At 22 you're practically invincible, at Canelos age with that much wear and tear he can probably hardly even get out of bed in the mornings.

Unpopular perhaps but I genuinely, hand on heart believe that Canelo is shot to bits at this stage. There is nothing left but his punch resistance.
He's static, he has abandoned his head movement, no longer jabs his way in, incapable of putting combinations together. His technique has got far worse and he loads up on everything. His stamina is atrocious.
I think its been slightly masked by him fighting unacceptable opposition and even then he's looked bad.
Great post but you have to agree jumping up 2 divisions after having only one fight at 154 and beating Canelo would be a helluva feat. Legacy changing type stuff for Crawford right here if he can do it.

If any boxing fan believe that Bud or Canelo trained for their last previous opponents are either naive or just fanboys.

Who the fuck even knew an Israil Madrimov or a William Scull anyhow? Judging by their performances; They sure as Hell didn’t.

Which is why neither guy prepared for them.
