?I really wanted to take the title ? two titles ? off Sebastian Fundora,? Zayas told Jake Donovan.

Say what you will about Zayas, but the guy is smart and wants to challenge himself too. And he's not a boring boxer either. What's not to like? It was a good idea to hold him back after the Texeira fight tho.

His comment on the Conwell fight is spot on, but I hope it doesn't come back to haunt him. War Zayas!

Looking at his resume, what leads you to believe he “wants to challenge himself”?

The kid has tried. Fundora didn't want it and Virgil Ortiz also went another route. Hopefully he picks up this title and people win't avoid him anymore. Do I think he can beat Ortiz or Fundora? Maybe but you can't blame him for not trying.

It'll be interesting. Xander looks very good, perhaps not great, but developing.

I'll be honest, didn't know that Conwell lost, but Jorge must be a decent fighter.

He was ready for Fundora, that's all I need to know, especially at his age. I don't think he's talking bs, do you have any proof he is?

Anyhow, Garcia is a good step up to see where he stands.

Y'all are so silly with your hating.

At this point of his career, Arum ain’t letting him anywhere near Fundura and Zayas knows that. Therefore he can claim he wants to fight Fundura with no repercussions and people like you gobbled that garbage up. He’s done absolutely nothing to earn the world title shot he’s receiving tonight and neither has his opponent. Remember WBO=We’re Bobs Organization. He looks good so far but anyone with a boxing IQ doesn’t consider him anything but a prospect right now.

Sometimes a Fighter hides behind his promoter other times the promoter shields his fighter for good reason but all in all few are fighting anyone at anytime. Maybe and for sure the Monster Inoue and Usyk but really is it the fighter that stays behind his promoter most time or the reverse ? things are just so damn hard to tell with all the noise of dif voices trying to make hype the truth. I will watch bc i watch a lot of fights just in case ......... a fight breaks out.
