Looks Charly Suarez finally gets his opportunity and seems to be of the few with abnormally long reach (74 in, 2 inches longer than Navarrete himself), anything can happen this week, but difficult that he overcome the experience gap. Unless he manages to catch Emanuel with something big.

Navarrete has been talking about early retirement since he dislikes training for elongated camps and cutting weight, but he seems to have:

-Got his hand surgery having had been issue for 2 years since a camp against Robson which was minor until the aftermath of the actual fight and seemed to be a problem during camp against Berinchyk that he almost pulled out a month prior.

He finally got it right after prior the Valdez rematch with the use of both his hands.

-He has hired both a nutritionist and Memo Heredia (If you know the guy's history). He is unlikely to get the physique of an athlete, but his stamina conditioning won't be an issue and according to boxing journalist Chava Rodriguez who went to check on him, looked pretty sharp.

-He has been sparring Angel Fierro and Antonio Moran for this fight.

I wasn't that the hand injury was that serious. Explains a lot. I'm sure the Memo alliance will be a have changed in terms of preparation. The nutritionist is a big step too.

To his credit Navarrete was coming off two consecutive camps and fights in 2023 against Liam Wilson and Oscar Valdez prior facing Robson Coincecao at end of the year yet didn't pull out despite his injury when he could of. Also agree, will be interesting to see how a nutritionist and heredia will improve his conditioning and performance from here on.

You may not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like!
