    Boxing. Half sport, half weight cutting ability.
    If it's that painful you shouldn't be fighting at that weight.

        There are so many weight loss plans out there. Very little from pro boxers it seems. I always wondered why they, of all people, didn’t write more about cutting weight to sell books etc. Maybe it’s so gruesome and hard that average people would or should never go that route. Not for average people, it seems. It must be very hard to do. Boxing.

              The problem is everybody is doing it to get an advantage so you are going to end up fighting a monster two weight divisions up on you.

                This is he answer - only the IBF has done it which is why many fighters won't go for an IBF ranking

                  the solution is a 2nd weigh-in on fight day with a re-hydration limit and if done for all fights then there'd be no monsters 2 weight classes above you as they'd be forced to move up divisions too.
