Thank you Tris for your reply. There is now talk of Alvarez fighting Bivol if Bivol win’s the trilogy with Beterbiev. Surely this can not happen before Benavidez or could it .

      Hey geometry arrow
It's interesting, isn't it? I think this fight is a good opportunity for Wilder to shake off the rust and remind everyone of his knockout power.

Canelo’s avoidance of Benavidez is the most blatant duck in recent memory, and now he’s trying to gaslight everyone into believing David never earned the opportunity anyway.

Typical Canelo. Yes, he’s a great fighter, but he’s also been the most privileged boxer throughout his career that I can think of, and a series of even small privileges all add up. I note a number of respected ex-fighters - Toney, Ward, JM Marquez for example - appear to think similarly.

Hard to disagree when Benavidez’s biggest accomplishment would feasibly be a win over Canelo, but Benavidez is being denied the opportunity to even shoot for it.
Not sure if I'm misunderstanding this, but sounds like Dixon agrees Benavidez hasn't accomplished anything. Whilst he no longer has one of the world trinkets, he's gone through Dirrell, Davis, Plant, Andrade and now Gvozdyk and Morrell at 175. That's a pretty decent record. There's tons of currently "world" champs in boxing who have much worse records than that.
