Huh, I wonder if this Stanley Wright is related to the former New England heavyweight champion active in the '90s. That Wright was the first man to beat Peter McNeely when he stopped the then 24-0 Mcneely in the 8th round. I'd be inclined to think so but the younger Wright was born & fights out of North Carolina while the journeyman Wright from the '90s was from Portland, ME. He finished with a record of 12-12 ( 12 KOs ).
I followed Wright's career closely because I shared a locker room with him in Binghamton, NY when he made his pro debut against a local heavyweight, Tim Igo. It was pretty lopsided as Wright had no boxing experience & no amateur career. Igo stopped him in the second round.Meanwhile, I stopped my opponent, Bill Robinson in the sixth round.
Wright & I hung out together afterward & had a great time at the hotel bar. He was a really cool guy & we kept in touch for a while as our careers progressed.

As for the Stanley Wright who fought tonight, it'll be interesting to see where he goes from here. Milton on the other hand looked awful. I think he'll likely peak as a journeyman/opponent if he elects to continue.

Both looked awful. The least one says about both, especially Jeremiah the better.
