Fighting 8 rounders this far into his career doesn't equal championships.

I was hoping Mick stuck to his retirement and worked on promoting. But the lure of limelight is too strong at the moment. Big fan, but he’s been in some wars at 31 and has an uphill battle to get back into contention yet championship.

He wasn't anywhere near championship level before, he's 31, he does have some talent but he's only got time for one last go at it.

If he's going to have any success, wholesale changes are needed to his style so I expect a few fights that are purely to practice stylistic changes before he takes on a serious opponent.

Throwing him straight back into a 12 rounder with a dangerous opponent would be pointless at this stage because he'd just lose again.

Happy days, printing money he gets sparked out again. He was a decent amateur that got an undeserved TopRank deal because of the misjustice in the Olympics, but he's nowhere near world level as a Pro. He's actually embarrassing thinking he could become a World Champion. He has a career lined up after Boxing anyway as a model.
