Isn't this like a complete verbal duck from Smith and with no explanation at all?

Not really. Smith was a top contender/Champ for nearly a decade and is a beloved fighter in England and very well liked in the United States. With all the great fights he’s been involved with, he can pick his opponent at this point. Ammo is coming off a bad loss and that also figures into the equation. Probably looking for a bigger name.

Actually, only one of them is coming off a KO loss and that is Smith. Austin has already recently had a KO win. And Smith is rated in just one organization, Austin is in 3 organizations and is ranked above Smith by the WBC which would only help Smith if he were to win. But it comes back to why not explain why you are not fighting Austin - especially when the winner would rise up the rankings!

Smith won't fight at 154 again. He struggles to even make 160 nowadays.. F knows what's happened to Lubin though guy got that controversial decision in that elimanator against Ramos and has sat out for like over the year..

Tbh it's not a bad fight. Smith needs a decent name to come back against and Ammo himself needs a name to get himself back in the mix and beating a former world champion is a good scalp to have. Ammo is still highly ranked in some of the organisations aswell. But also wouldn't mind them rescheduling the Josh Kelly fight because domestically that's a good fight possibly in Liverpool or Manchester

Very well liked in the United States? Lol. Since when?

Smith is just another retread Eurobum that they’re going to try to make money off of in UK domestic fights. Which is why he is blatantly ducking Ammo Williams here…can’t have him getting beat before milking the Brits for a few quid, can we?

He is getting old, so I imagine getting harder and harder coming down in weight. But he's just too small for 160-168. As for Lubin, his career has been a bit of a roller coaster. Both of his loses were crushing defeats. Good comeback wins against Aria, then Ramos. Was supposed to fight Tzsyu, then there was talk of Adames. Nothing materielized. Now he wants Murtazaliev...

The brits will buy just about anything.. Specially if the pitch is coming from the used car salesman aka Hearn.
