Comments Thread For: A month out from Oleksandr Usyk-Tyson Fury II, experts weigh up the rematch

Usyk's just gonna turn it up. He always does. I'm not sure any man in the 12 round era has the stamina of Usyk.

I love this idea that Fury just has to use his size and back up Usyk... what do you think he tried to do in the first fight? He ran to the centre of the ring and tried to apply pressure and Usyk dealt with it within about 10 seconds and forced Fury back.
Showboating and fighting at range gave Fury some success. That was how he adapted to what Usyk was doing to him. Then Usyk just took things up a level.
At this level it will be all about how they'll adjust. And when it comes to in fight adjustments, Fury is good but Usyk is better.
What we do know, was that many months ago? Unsurprisingly Oleksandr Uysk was already quite close to his fighting condition 'Tyson Fury in comparison, I believe tactically chose to completely regress after his first fight vs Oleksandr Uysk I. We saw the typical news reports of Fury boozing and partying post Oleksandr Uysk I'.
Note: The reason why I am making this point is? Tyson Fury for the first fight, in my opinion had a unprecedented preparation '6 months out from the fight date of May 18th, Tyson Fury weighed in at 277 pounds vs Francis Ngannou. That is exactly the same weight, that he weighed vs Deontay Wilder for their third trilogy fight'.
I believe Tyson Fury in terms of overall conditioning was in great condition vs Oleksandr Uysk I 'But I will admit? Maybe technically he can improve, because since the first fight. Members of his team have stated, Fury's eye injury which he sustained for the February 17th fight? That unfortunate injury, did have an negative effect on his sparring for the May 18th fight'.
So there is definitely a area of Tyson Fury's game, where he can most likely rationalise 'That he can improve for this rematch. And this one factor, may be what is giving Fury more self belief that he can win'.
But I personally think? The sparring, would not made much of a difference 'Tyson Fury was a more active fighter than Oleksandr Uysk, coming into the first. And he had endured three back to back training camps, two of those training camps with no interference from injuries for the most part'.
Evander Hoyfield never sparred much for his two fights vs Mike Tyson I & II 'And from what I have read, and observed. It is not uncommon for very experienced fighters to decrease the amount of sparring rounds they use in their training, during the latter stages of their career' Fighters such as Joe Calzaghe, and Evander Holyfield have been two of the most documented fighters who altered their training in this way.
To conclude: I am expecting very similar tactics from Tyson Fury in this rematch 'Because if he Fury just decides to wade forward vs Uysk II. If Uysk is not decked or knocked out by the mid-rounds, I think Tyson Fury will be done, and start to go backwards in the fight. The moment where this fight becomes a endurance event, that is when Tyson Fury will be more prone in making technical mistakes and unforced errors. Fury has historically always when fatigued, made unforced errors. The only reason why the media have not picked up on this, is because skill for skill? Fury has not really been competing against fighters who could exploit this deficiency in his game until Oleksandr Uysk I'.
I would be very surprised if Tyson Fury comes into this fight, on the front foot 'Pressuring with extreme intensity. Tyson Fury is a complete fighter, so he needs to utilize all of his game in order to win'.
Like I stated earlier in the year, in these next coming weeks 'There is a possibility that news and reports will start to appear? Regarding each fighters condition'.
I only really attentively listened to Shane Fury and Sugar Hill Steward 'I found the rest of Tyson Fury's camp, many of the characters seemed to be acting or just way off in their perceptions' etc.Last edited by PRINCEKOOL; 11-25-2024, 09:28 AM.

You had Tyson paying 6 million dollars to duck Lewis
You had Bowe and Lewis never fighting you had Bowe and Tyson never fighting
Had a cruiser on peds coming up to be champ in heavyweight. Usyk did it without the steds
Roids would not help this bunch
George Foreman, right now, would humble these fools.

This is the worst HW div in the history of the sport.
Fury will only be a HOFer by default.
Maybe AJ
Definitely Usyk.

Yes, he was clowning around and not showing enough respect, but he was also losing focus because he was exhausted and fatigued. Usyk has an incredible work rate that eventually grinds you down, so Fury will need to have better conditioning in the rematch. Fury is smart and he knows all this, he does not need us or his corner to tell him this. Of course you can never discount Usyk as so far he has always found a way to win but my guess is that Fury comes better prepared this time around and wins the rematch.
