I wanted to disagree, but I cant even agree with myself on the top 3 ffs.

All I will say is that it's not worth arguing about, especially on the internet. All 3 guys are wild talents and we are lucky to have them. Crawfords resume is nowhere near the other two, but imo it's because he brings very little money which would have helped the pbc dudes get handled years earlier.

Tyszu is a nice take. I'm no expert, but he never looked like a big jmw to me either. Guy is strong af for his size, but if he can make welter he should consider it. Especially with his mentality/fighting style, you need to not be undersized to utilize that best. In all honesty I'm no tank lover, but it makes me appreciate him a bit more in this context...a bit lol

I would have inoue and usyk above crawford.

for starters they are fighting larger men. every single fight the guys they are beating are larger.

crawford is now fighting guys basically of equal size. i think crawford is aging out, last fight he didnt look special, he pulled out the win but didnt look p4p number 1. the guy was his size or slightly bigger and was athletic with good movement and that was enough to make crawford look ordinary. i dont put that much into it cause hes getting older but for current fighters Usyk and Inoue are up quite a bit on him I would have usyk number 1 and inoue number 2 because i think usyk is facing better opposition and also at heavyweight a single shot can KO you if you are not careful so to be a smaller guy there is impressive

loma probably gets underrated on the p4p list. i thought he beat haney who was realistically 2 divisions larger. he just hasnt had a super fight in a while so they under rate him

How I sometimes score rounds, mostly when re-watching, is by splitting them into 3 separate minutes. Fighter #1 wins the first 2 minutes? He's already got the round, unless fighter #2 dishes out more damage in the last minute. Same in reverse – fighter #1 scores a huge head-snapping hit in the first minute, but then fighter #2 neutralises his offence and keeps him at bay with a scoring jab for the last 2 minutes, without looking hurt.

Lomachenko absolutely gets underrated and has done for the past four years. I think the Haney fight was his last special performance, he’s too long in the tooth to beat Davis or Stevenson and may as well retire. But he was an old school lightweight versus an old school welterweight against Haney and I thought he won. Same size in the ring and ‘165lb Devin’ gets smoked.

Beating the much larger Fury made Usyk a pretty obvious choice for the top spot in my opinion. And his little buddy Loma losing a highly contentious verdict to the similarly advantaged Haney should have put two Ukrainians in the top five.
