  • Comments Thread For: Three cheers: Full approval for actions of Devin Haney, David Benavidez and Tim Tszyu

Three active boxers have caught my eye recently with the way they've conducted themselves and the decisions they've made, and I'm going to heap praise upon them.

Surely Raskin knows the track record of Team Benavidez ! The previous “offers “ that the various members of the team disputed ? The 50 and 60 million dollars they didn’t have that they “offered “to Canelo ? Are you dense or just purposely obtuse ? Get real Raskin .

I don't mind rose colored glasses, but this guy needs a seeing eye dog. First off, Ryan paid Haney for that whooping and Haney bragged on it, 1.5 mil like it was a smart move. Now he wants to sue and keep the money. Benevidez partied his way out of contention, he lost a title for ******* and he was drunk on tv recently. He made it hard on himself. Anybody anytime Tim was trying to pull One Time out of the old folks home and faced a 154 pounder by accident. Then he thought a broken nose was worse than a cut scalp, it usually is, but it was Fundora that came through in the trenches. I still like Haney, but I don't know what effects the beating had. I still like Benevidez, but he seems to heve an addictive personality. I like Tim too, but not like his father. I don't need rosey glasses

I agree with the comments about Tszyu & Benavidez, but Haney??? We need less Haney's in boxing. A whiney, weighting bully who cries the first time he has to deal with adversity. Devin needs to take a leaf out of Tim Tszyu's book on how to deal with adversity, but Haney doesn't have the talent, heart or toughness to do that. Adding to Haney's unlikability is his lack of knockout power and his boring jab & hold style that provides absolutely no entertainment value for the paying fan. Further to this there is the idiot father with the big mouth who has been in complete damage control trying to manipulate the narrative to save his son's future earning potential. I hope the Haney's are shut out of boxing after this episode, who really would miss them?

                1. Devin didn't get paid for Ryan testing positive for PEDs.
                2. Devin didn't agree to fight Ryan while he was on PEDs.
                3. Why did Ryan need PEDs and weight advantage to beat Devin?
                4. Devin is suing because he did lose money due to Ryan cheating.

If you have an issue with this then you shouldn't have an issue with anybody doing bad business with you. If you have to cheat as a man in life you're not a real man IMO. Money doesn't buy morals.

Approval for Devin Haney’s behaviour since getting beat down?? Haney is a disgrace to humanity. He has been cheating his way into fighting smaller men. And then finally fights someone his own size and gets bashed up.. then he tries to take the man who beat him to court for battery! And the author of this article approves of this?! Shameful.

Haney’s been cheating & weight bullying for years. And when he fought someone his own size he gets bashed up. So what does he do in return? He runs to the law crying.
Haney is a disgrace to the sport.
