  • Comments Thread For: The 'rudderless' career of Chris Eubank Jr. has already struck gold

The morning after Gennady Golovkin had thumped holes in Kell Brook's skull, I was sitting in a cafe in Brighton and Hove when Chris Eubank Sr, a fellow resident of the English south coast city, appeared beside me

How can we forget back then when Junior lost his pen against Golovkin, only for Brook to step in and end up with a broken face by consequence. Something tells me he'll loose his pen against Canelo.

Jr is a complete waste of what was once a promising talent .The money Jr. has made is from his family name , there's no wins to suggest otherwise.Jr's delusion of being some big hitter are only supported by the name 'Eubank' if he didn't have the name he'd be a relative nobody.

His career has been rudderless. He has hopped around from one promoter to another, looking for easy fights. He's 35 next month and hasn't even challenged for a belt, despite having name recognition. That says a lot about his lack of direction. When he's taken risks, they haven't been the smartest. Instead of facing Golovkin for 4M, he moved up above his best weight with no plan, ended up losing to Groves for 1.5M. Next opponent will be low-risk, there's no plan he's just praying for Canelo to cut him a retirement check.

Eubank Jr has just chased paydays his entire career. His legacy will be worthless but his bank account will be the opposite.

his career is the opposite of rudderless, hes steered himself towards fights he thinks he can win pretty easy & away from harder belt level fights & opponents & is constantly looking to use his name to land payday fights with the like of eggie benn, older retired guys and now canelo

sorta sounds a lot like " Saul " as far as i can see.................I never liked these " Better get Saul " sweepstakes that come around every year or so, It just sets wrong with me always has, as far as Jr. goes most guys are in it for the money as is Sally so big deal i do not trust much of what comes out of an interview anyhow one side says this the other that. Inside the ropes those two may be dif but at the table talking money they are not dif at all......Now inside the ropes when the bell rings that is what i believe that is what tells the real story always has been. Enjoy the fights not the negotiations............

He just kind of drifted into the best they have to offer.

Eubank might still be next because Canelo has nowhere else to go.
