Fighters can be kind, compassionate human beings outside the ring. Knowing the bell that tolls to start the first round is arriving, however, can flip a switch. Seeing unbeaten junior-middleweight Vergil Ortiz Jr. stray from his usual personality this fight week as he inches closer to Saturday night's Mandalay Bay main event against World Boxing Council interim champion and former sparring partner Serhii Bohachuk is likely a reflection of that.

Sooooo excited to see this fight. I have to admit, I know nothing about SB. He has a nice record but if I were on his team, I'd be concerned he got stopped by Bryan Adams. Ortiz is a great puncher and imo, if he lands, he'll hurt SB. One of the many great fights we're going to be treated with at 54.

OHhhh my, I just watched the highlights of the Adams and Bohachuck and did Adams ever flatten him. Beautiful left hook finish. If Ortiz land that punch flush like Adams, it's OVER!

Ortiz will batter the body until he drops his guard or shot to the liver might be in play

No question that Ortiz will land and land hard. He takes a shot to give a shot. I have seen him buzzed but he continues throwing believing in his superior fire power. Cannot wait for this fight.
