Floyd could get to Manny anytime and possibly walk him but was still very careful to the very end, i think he’d approach Crawford the same way because of T-bud’s power.

make it boring and win on the outside, i don’t think he’d marquez-him level.. it’d be a boring chess match with Floyd edging him for landing the more significant shots…

crawford might be one of those guys that can hurt and snipe floyd if he’s wreckless — which was always never the case.

jab to the body, pull right counter, jab jab.. wash rinse repeat. 9-3 or 8-4 floyd.

floyd had a field day against mosely and marquez and guerrero at 147, he won those fights 11-1, and 12-0 the other two. I don’t think t-bud would look like that.
I agree with most of your take. Only thing we're leaving out is the jab. Floyd has trouble with the jab.

Any rounds that Oscar and cotto won was with that jab. Bud jab would make the fight competitive

I think Oscar beats canelo at 154.

I think canelo stops Oscar at 160

I think they are both great fighters as well

oscar won or loss close. He didnt dominate no prime fighter. So im not hearing oscar stops bud or anybody prime that was p4p.

Oscar resume shows us who he is. A guy that takes on the best and comes up short. The Bud fight would be more of the same

    that's my opinion.

Those 2 wins by Oscar are greater than any Crawford win and that's a hard fact!

I agree, they might have not been at their best, but they were still formidable.

Chavez Sr (96-1-1) was coming off a 7 win streak with wins over former champs like Tony Lopez (45-4-1), Giovanni Parisi (29-1) and a Meldrick Taylor aiming for revenge in the rematch (32-2-1). Not his best performances but he won decisively, along with beating ranked contenders like David Kamau (26-0) and Scott Walker (21-3-1) quite dominantly. He was also the WBC light welterweight champ at the time. After he lost he beat another former WBA champion from 135 in Joey Gamache (45-2) and had a draw with the WBC lightweight champion in Miguel Angel Gonzalez (42-1).

While Whitaker (40-1-1) was ranked 2nd as P4P fighter at the time while being the WBC welterweight champion for four years, coming off a streak of 7 wins over champs like Julio Cesar Vasquez (53-1) and James McGirt (64-3-1). Along with a ranked welterweight Wilfredo Rivera (23-0-1). He also had a controversial draw that should had went his direction over a aging but formidable and undefeated JCC. Whether people agree with the outcome or not against his fight with the young upcoming De La Hoya, I quite doubt it is a robbery considering how close it was having watched the fight.

TC is definitely the correct size for 154

he only beats the version of dlh that manny defeated, the mayweather one, no, he doesn't. the disrespect dlh gets here is so funny, prime dlh KOs crawford with no problems.

Crawford is hittable and his defense ain’t all that and doesn’t move that fast compared to floyd or manny, his technicality and power with a bit of speed is what makes him difficult, but base on the madrimov fight he didn’t carry that at 154lbs so Oscar has better chances of landing those left hooks or right hands and continuing with the jab. Size advantage too.

he might KO marquez, counter punchers are bad against counter punchers especially a cagey one like crawford and crawford might clearly be the stronger and faster between the two. And goes for the kill unlike Floyd. Stylistic nightmare for marquez this one.

i don’t think he KOes shane. I don’t he KOes margarito. Those two have tough chins, and you need serious work rate to KO them both aside from having power. Crawford is slightly economical with his punches, and waits for that punch that rocks his opponents then go for the kill..

Canelo version that floyd fought might be a toss up. If that was at 154lbs instead of 152lb we can assume a bit more… i just think crawford’s hittability and not so stellar defense gives bigger opponents with power more chance to win.. crawford is vulnerable to the right hand.

floyd made him frustrated with his defense, movement and counters and boss him around. I don’t think canelo will be frustrated with crawford’s defense or his movement.
