Boots get crapped on for being not defensive enough which makes all his fights entertaining.

Boots is a super strong, extremely athletic fighter. Dude impresses me a whole lot but his defense can be ridiculously bad.

I think that was more because he’d been out for a while and David smothered him. I thought Boots got hit but David is not some scrub. He studied Boots and landed some well timed shots.

Yeah, he’s not defensively responsible at all. He likes to fight in the phone booth a little bit too much for a guy with his height and reach advantage. I don’t see him beating Crawford, but he can still beat other boxers at 147 and 154. Canelo is the only one I can see beating Crawford.

Ring rust. And didn't have respect for his opponent after all. He would not fight the same way against Fundora, Tszyu, Crawford, Spence , or Ortiz Jr. I would say his defense is a B plus. Has potential to become an elite defensive fighter though.

go back on this forum and after every fight of his in the past few years and I've pointed out that his defense isn't good and it gets hit flush way too much.

Boxing fans can be difficult to satisfy sometimes; we critique even as we're being entertained. I thought Shakur's fight was a bit boring, but I also realize that my perception was clouded by the De Los Santos performance. Fun fact: Ennis actually absorbed less punches vs. Avanesyan, according to CompuBox. Sometimes, the best defense is a destructive offense.

Show a fight where he shows even good defence, he gets hit every fight its only they low rent guys is why you can get away with it, Bum rushing is Hatton vs Floyd that wasn't bum rushing he was trying to technically land his big shots.

Maybe it wasn't Hatton level bum rushing but it was still bum rushing imo. I expected him to pick ava apart and be more slick.
