I would gladly donate to help struggling fighters and to build a home or more for ex boxers in need. I'm pretty sure that a lot of fans would. We just never hear about these opportunities to help. For instance, I had no idea about Iceman Sullys efforts , or anyone elses either. Maybe the boxing media could provide links on their pages to these organizations and also do some regular articles about the topic. Another way to earn funds for these organizations could be collections and/or raffles at the fights. There are a lot of ways that they can get funding if boxing helps out especially.
