There are those who look forward to his fights.
Would you say he is exciting?

Yes! He's one of my favorite fighters. I'm not a new wave, short attention span fan, who gets merely excited by knockouts, and fighters who mix it up - only.

Folks are conditioned to hate on Shakur Stevenson - some of this has to do with this being a copycat world, some of this has to do with this being a bully world, some of this has to do with his boxing style, and a bit of this has to do with his race.

Shakur Stevenson is an excellent fighter. As much as he's called a runner, and a boring fighter, no one has yet to be able to challenge him/ beat him. This is why I'm a fan. He seems to have the tools that the great ones have. I'm looking forward to seeing the day he truly gets challenged. My opinion may or may not change after that fight....

But I have a feeling that the day after he's truly challenged, I'll still be a fan, and he'll most likely have more fans.

Yeah, that's because it's his last fight with TR. This is standard practice. They're not gonna do him any favours on the way out and get him a big fight - why would they if they have no further options on him after this? They're simply fulfilling the terms of the contract so he can leave.

The choice was either fight Artem and finish your contract so you can leave or re-sign with us and get some big fights. And Shakur knows this. He's quoted as saying so himself in this very article:

And obviously they've known he's leaving for a while now, this isn't something he has just sprung on them.

Cruz has been pro for one year (in 7 days) and has his 4th bout lined up (in 26 days), and will probably be in title contention next year. I would prefer if he was fighting every three months, but the pace that he's being moved is fine. Keyshawn turned pro in 2021 and currently ranks #3 WBC/WBO/IBF, so he's only a couple fights away from a title shot. We need to practice a bit more patience.

Maybe you have a point with Keyshawn but Cruz is a scorching/flaming/sizzling contender (not prospect) - he passes all they eye tests so he could be moved something like Loma was - otherwise by the time he is ready for big belts there'll all have left for 140 - and I'm 90% certain Tankk never fights him - high risk no reward

Loma fought for a title in only his 2nd pro bout and he lost against an old Salido. I'm not saying Cruz can't be competitive with the current LW titlists, but it's probably best to make sure that he is absolutely ready. Whether immediately or next year, the titlists won't want to fight him because he'll be high-risk/low-reward. They're going to avoid him either way, so it doesn't really matter if they move up. If I was Team Cruz, I would go after K. Davis, E. De Los Santos, Z. Abdullaev, and G. Lemos.
