Comments Thread For: Bob Arum: Vasiliy Lomachenko still in negotiations for a Gervonta Davis fight

It is the best fight for both fighters, and the timing? I think for differing reasons is actually better than ever.
I disagree with the people who may believe this fight 'Should of happened many years ago. Gervonta Tank Davis afew years back, would of just been considered another solid contender for Vasily Lomachenko. But now in present day, the dynamic of the fight is many times more intriguing'.
Gervonta Tank Davis although he has beaten multiple World level fighters, he has never fought or beaten a elite level fighter 'Fighting Vasily Lomachenko will potentially give him that opportunity'.
Note: Lomachenko has proven with his recent performances that, he is still a elite level fighter 'Lomachenko has risen to higher places in the game, than Gervonta Tank Davis. Yes Lomachenko has been beaten, but? The loses he has suffered where not bad losses, because he is always extremely competitive against both Teofimo Lopez and Devin Haney'.
To conclude: A factor in great match making is timing, and I honestly believe that this fight as a event 'Is as fever pitch. Gervonta Tank Davis is a proven Champion, but a fight against a resurgent Vasily Lomachenko is a all-time great match up within this boxing era' etc.

IMHO Haney beat Loma on points. Loma started slow, and Haney got off to a great start. Loma had faster hands, and I think he hurt Haney more than Haney hurt him, but the fighter who accumulates more points, wins. Haney accumulated more, sorry.
While I like Haney (and Loma), Haney is just okay. He was exposed in a few of his fights. His chin has always been questionable, and if you want to point out a boxer who lacks power, it's Haney. Most of Haney's knockouts were against lesser competition - fighters with subpar/.500 records. I was one of a few fans that predicted that Garcia would win.
With that being said, it can't be denied that Loma is older and at the crossroads in his career. If you can't see this, I can't help you. Loma does not look invincible. If he takes a risk of substituting Tank with another opponent, and loses....he will have less chips to bargain with.
If you laugh again.....Yeah .... you're delusional

His stock dropped? Then why did Teo run from a rematch? Lmao.
