****, he was so washed up that he became champ again AFTER the Inoue fight. But sure, we can say that Donaire took more damage than a Cancer patient you soft phaggot :lol1;

main problem has been people actually thinking their old when they are in their 30s and letting themselves go because society says you're old now but that's changed now people are seeing they actually can stay young for longer if they take care of the body and don't take too much punishment..
What do you think it is , better training techniques , nutrition, supplements, PEDS, some combination , or all of the above ? I was thinking about what you said and looking back , guys like Hopkins were considered old in their mid thirties, pretty much all fighters were. Also guys back then had a lot more fights by the time they were 30. Usyk, Lomachenko, Beterbiev, etc , barely have 20 something fights. I'd have to look to be sure but guys like Trinidad , DLH , and their contemporaries probably had a lot more fights by the time that they were thirty than guys today. Guys back then were ready to retire by their early thirties . You're right , it has changed.

add the fact that society is just more accepting of older athletes now as well when 10+ years ago once athletes reached a certain age you were kind of just shamed and pushed (aged) out of said sport to make room for younger athletes even when it was obvious they had at least a couple years left in them..
but make no mistake 30s IS older so if said athlete is not taking extreme care of themselves they'll still will fall under the old status quo, I say all the time 35 for 1 person is not the same for the next person..2 people can be the same age of 35 but yet one is younger internally..Last edited by Realizniguhnit; 07-08-2024, 04:57 PM.pnut901 likes this.

I was thinking Jacobs would struggle, just like most fighters struggle after a long layoff.
The years are indeed showing, might be time to retire. He's made big $$ unless he was careless with it.
