  • Comments Thread For: Jake Paul Takes on Boxing, In and Out of the Ring

Jake Paul says he is "as surprised as anyone else" that boxing has become such a significant part of his life. It has, he admits, been "a wild journey" that could have easily ground to a halt before now.

Jake Paul is a societal slug. He has become a millionaire off the strength of terrible parenting. Is he helping boxing? Why did he move to Puerto Rico? Quasi tax evasion? The main point though, who cares? This is boxings forum full of old heads living vicariously via promoters and boxers

Paul talks about improving boxing and wanting to be taken seriously but he is nothing more than a boxing clown in a side-show act and attention whore to the extreme.

Just imagine! This is a guy who is not a boxer, that thinks he is a pro boxer and is already telling about the excruciating workouts real boxer do to make weight to prepare for a strategy vs an opponent. The only credit I give Jake is that he is telling all the morons that think boxing it’s easy sitting and viewing it from their couch, with a side of beer and pizza watching a PPV and telling their families the strategies a boxer should follow according to them!

Just imagine getting a prep talk from Jake Paul before going to the Olympics. You'd shoot yourself if you had any self-awareness.

Bizarre he thinks he could be of help. Sorry, but you can't offer help. You're not qualified. And if he can offer "Help", your guys aren't close to being ready for an Olympics.

Everybody has their opinion, I’ve been watching boxing since the 70s. You may not like the guy but I didn’t see one quote that wasn’t accurate about the state of boxing. Yeah, he’s a douche bag but he has brought a lot more attention to the sport and has had a major impact on the women’s pay. Seems like doers do and others just sit back and talk ****… so I say let the boy do his thing and see what happens. Don’t think he’s going cause any more harm than a Don King, Bob Arum or Golden Boy.

All this while never taking on a real boxer in his entire (so called) career.
This guy is a cancer to the sport.

                Boycott the problemchild!!!
