Activity is important. I don't care who he fights with this abysmal inactive situation of his. He needs to fight 3-4 times a year. That's what he wants.

In the tradition of superb fighters from Philly, Meldrick Taylor and Bernard Hopkins.

Jaron Boots should take a page out of Teofimo Lopez's book. He makes himself active fighting whoever is put in front of him in between big fights. No one criticized him for fighting the likes of Campa, Martin, Ortiz, etc. I don't think he even cared. Same thing with Lomachenko for fighting Nakatani, Commey, Ortiz in between big fights. Why can't Jaron Boots and others do the same, but would rather sit around waiting for what? Nothing.

I've got nothing against this fight.

Avanesyan is decent opponent on short notice, I’m expecting a stoppage in the mid rounds but at least Avenesyan will come to fight.

Serge Ambomo with the 55 losses wasn’t the worst stay busy fight for Avaneseyan, he’s a solid guy and an ex-Olympian.

I think boots will get rid of him in the middle rounds but on 4-5 weeks notice it's not to bad of an opponent. The guy will come and fight but hopefully after this fight we get something like the Barrios unification or something like that but it's the IBF title he holds so likely to put the mandatory on him which is Chukhadzhian who he's already beat lool

Yeah once a year at this point of his career is ridiculous. Hopefully now he's signed to a promoter/Broadcaster we see him again by the end of the year if he dismantles Avanesyan and then 2025 he has some proper fights

This is exactly the type of fights many fans wanted him to fight even when he was still with PBC/Showtime. There's also Kavaliauskas who fights on PBC cards. So I and others would look inconsistent if we are giving thumbs down to this fight.

crazy bcuz Boots (Shakur Stevenson too) is days away from 27 years old..So these guys are just about pushing 30 at this point especially given how little they fight..not exactly spring chickens anymore,,

Boots needs to move up sooner than later an get that Ortiz Jr fight and quit feasting on these welterweights that are ALL naturally smaller men than him..we already seen that for years with Spence..you only can prove how good your are when fighting guys your OWN size and skill..Boots can be good as he wants at 147 but if he moves up and get's KO'd by Ortiz Jr no one going to care about what he did at 147 because Ortiz and Boots are the same size..
