Hmmnnn, I'm thinking it's too big of a leap for Benavidez, to jump in with a serious former champ at the weight. I think Gvozdyk wins in an upset(?). Not that Benavidez isn't prepared and perhaps able to win this fight. But I think he should have taken a fight or two at the weight before testing a former champ (who's only had one loss and faced some excellent LHW's along the way).

Benavidez has a good attitude, very positive and can speak well in front of the mic, besides being a hell of a fighter. He has a great career going so this and future fights should be entertaining.

You’re hyping the fight I get it however I disagree, from a matchmaking perspective this kinda fight is just what the doctor ordered when advancing a boxer’s profile while moving up in weight. He’s a former champion that wasn’t at his best previously and is coming off a long layoff. But he’ll be a good name on Benavides ledger

Avoidance behavior is a big problem in boxing, but nobody knows how to put a stop to it. People avoided GGG until he got old, then suddenly everyone wanted him. You can name a lot of fighters like that, too good for the “champs” so they’re stuck with a career of blasting out inferior fighters.
