I find it amusing that Avanesyan was the #8 ranked Welterweight by The Ring entering the Crawford fight but he is now ranked #6.

His opponent in between Crawford and Ennis has an 11-55 record.

If you’re ranked #8 and lose by KO, you should be removed from the top 10. Not increase in rankings. Idc if it was by default. He is not the 6th best welterweght in the world.

Don't worry , next week he will be ranked #3.

It's not easy finding a late replacement. I guess that you've got to take what you can get. I don't think that there's enough good competition for Boots at 47 , he's plenty big enough to fight at 54. He should junk that email belt and get cracking. It's not like he's getting any younger and he still hasn't really done shlt compared to what someone who possesses his skills and talent by the eye test should have done by now. He's going to regret all of the wasted time and opportunity when he looks back on his career. If he couldn't get Crawford or Spence in the ring , he should have cleared out everyone else to force the issue. These cats never fight , then wonder why they can't make a Superfight.....it's because no one knows who the fvk you are.

Boots turned Bud down twice. Boots has fought no one. WW is a bad division now.

This is not a solid fight or a good opponent for Boots. He is a sorry C-level Euro fighter period. Just like I told you guys that Virgil Ortiz will get no better fighting inferior competition on Dazn, Boots will regress fighting on that app. Josh Taylor will be next and then Eggs Benn the bumb. Ava was a throwaway fight for Bud, Ennis turned it down and Ava stepped in. Ava isn't terrible, but he isn't that great. I wouldn't say it is a good test, but maybe Ennis can stop him earlier than Bud did and keep his fans saying "See! He is better than Bud!!!"

Boots gonna end up 30 never having beaten anyone of note and being called the greatest fighter of all time, p4p #1 on the Ring magazine "best in sparring most talented all timer never to have any good wins" list.
