Yes, but in Caitlin’s case there is a whole other subtext going on. You also have to question why her teammates don’t jump to her defense more…I couldn’t see the Boston Celtics letting rookie Larry Bird get hammered without retaliating.
Every rookie and every player in the league takes hard fouls. It's part of playing contact sports.
Only one player went outside the norm of what you see in any basketball game at the high level. Men's, women's, professional, college, doesn't matter. It's a contact sport that allows free player movement, and part of that is hard fouls.
Clark isn't acting like she's being mistreated. She's not asking for people to white knight for her on the internet. She's a competitor, she knew this would happen, and she's playing through it like everybody else.

Only one player? Lol.
Don’t make me have to start posting clips of all the hard fouls on Caitlin.

Literally one player took a cheap shot at her, and that player takes cheap shots at everyone and is universally hated in the league for it. Everybody else in the league is treating Clark just like they treat all the rookies.Leave a comment:

A basketball player shouldn’t have to learn how to box just because of all the jealous lesbian thugs in the WNBA. That is so ridiculous.Leave a comment:

Whoa, big respect to Ms. Shields.
Honestly, it's so refreshing when the race card isn't played.

Claressa Shields secured her boxing legacy years ago. The double Olympic gold medallist and current undisputed middleweight champion has already beaten every viable contender at 160lbs and 168lbs and rather than lapping the field, the 29-year-old has started to search for the type of challenges which will put her in rarefied air.
