I mean never say never, anything can happen. Goodman is quite bigger than Inoue and is a top contender.

Just seems unlikely after what Naoya has proven during his career while Sam seems to be stepping up in competition. Even at a size disadvantage, he has demolished all the 122 pounders so far with both power and skill.

Goodman is a solid boxer with good footwork, punch variations and toughness to boot. On top of that, he's been extremely busy lately, fighting four times in 2023 and once already in 2024. Having said all that, Inoue just seems like a he's on a different level so I don't know how much it will matter.
His chances of knocking out Inoue are slim to none so in reality he would have to box a perfect fight for 12 rounds.

Inoue is running out of top competition to fight. Goodman has shown that he is a good fighter but don't have that proven record. Nakatani or going up to featherweight will be his best options.
