Comments Thread For: Jaime Munguia Rethinks, Now Predicts a Knockout of Canelo Alvarez

I see some people are picking Munguia in Pick'em! Nice to see a difference in opinions on this fight! I am standing by my prediction though: Saul by KO

If both guys engage in a firefight early on, this will be a battle of chins. I wonder if both men will withstand the onslaught. If they do, then the second half of the fight will be a battle of attrition.

Someone tell Munguia Nelo went 36 rounds took countless amount of shots with GGG and fought Kovalev who can KO people with jabs.

          Was not fazed/staggered once.

I hope the kid proves the biased media wrong, but they’ll say he beat an old Canelo if he wins.

              What should happen...

Canelo hits him in the liver and stops him

What I think will happen and even if I lose I am going with this:

Munguia has Canelo Ko'd standing in the last couple of rounds but the ref doesn't stop it and Munguia loses on the cards. It doesn't matter if he wins the 12 rounds.

What should happen if karma is a thing:

Munguia stops Clenelo in the last 2 rounds.

You're right but taking damage in fights adds up. Even if you have an iron chin, eventually your durability starts to go. Just look at Joe Joyce. Of course Joyce is older and Canelo's resistance may not be at that low point yet but it's inevitable that he will become more vulnerable as he ages.
I'm hoping it shows in the Munguia fight this weekend.
