Comments Thread For: Las Vegas, Boxing's All-Time Champion, Faces its Toughest Challenger Yet

While New York styles itself as the Mecca of Boxing, the bright lights of Las Vegas have been the sport's biggest attractant for decades. Is Saudi Arabia just another pretender or the greatest threat to Sin City's title?

Saudi giving us fights without the crooked Vegas scorecards? Sign me up. **** do I care if some broad gets whipped in public? Maybe that should be on the undercard

The atmosphere at these boxing events in Saudi is awful, as in, there is zero buzz. You can hear the trainers shouting and the punches thudding. It’s like fighting in a library. That alone will kill any sustainable trend toward Saudi. You just don’t have the razzmatazz of a big fight that Vegas can provide.

Vegas where the arena is empty until the main event?

Saudi works for the British scene and those who worship at the feet of matchroom, it doesn’t at all benefit real British boxing fans. I’d take the fights at Bethnal Green York hall over the personal entertainment of (and sycophantic ass licking) “his excellency” any day. Two greatest spots for boxing in the usa are vegas and Brooklyn. However grrat boxing cities worth mentioning are Houston, San Antonio, Philly, and Miami

Just ignored the Indian casinos all together. Fantasy Springs, Pachanga, Soboba, Machatuket, enough to make a dent.

Yea out west PBC should hold major shows in Vegas and small to mid level in LA, Dallas, Houston, San antonio and Phoenix. Out east major shows in NYC, smaller to mid level in Atlantic city, Philly, DC, and Miami.
