It’s so frustrating when you see fighters have advantages and strengths yet discard them to “have a tear up”. I can’t figure out if it’s the trainers incompetence or the fighter just ignores instructions. Fundora is the same. He’s as tall as a heavyweight yet likes to fight up close. Just use ya stick and move. It’s really not rocket science. Let the haters call you boring. But you’ll achieve far more than some average Joe like me or whoever calling it boring!! -
Valdez has fought Berchelt, Conceicao, Shakur, Navarrete and Liam Wilson in the span of 3 years. Win, lose, or draw. Gotta give the guy credit, guy has the guts to take on the best available. (3-2 ain't bad though I think Robson lost controversially)
He also has notable wins over champs like Velez, Servania, Gradovich and Ruedas at 126.
Dismissing a fighter because they have lost their 0 in modern times is becoming a horrible standard where it discourages fighters from aiming for more or overall improve as they stagnate.
Hope he gets the bouts with Luis Alberto Lopez or Oshaquie Foster in the future as suggested.
That's a hell of a 5 fight run. At HW I'm liking Joe Parker's resume although the wins are against faded Wilder and energy deficient Zhang. My favourite run of recent years was Sor Rungvisai's - in the space of 12 months in 2017/18 he beat Chocolatito twice and then beat Estrada - that should have made him P4P#1
Regards your 2nd point - at first it was the fans who held this viewpoint, now even promoters have started to buy into it a little - for example there is more money in an unbeaten Tzsu vs Crawford fight than a Crawford vs Fundora fight so promoters will be hoping Tim prevailsLeave a comment:

Man, i've properly done you, Regge and messi good and proper. But when someone puts you in their place, a narcissist doesn't like it so creates fallacies in order to try and gain control. It's ironic though as none of you have any control.Leave a comment:

When are you getting back to that thread anyway? Unless you've already ran away from it and you're not going back? Haha. In that case, that was quick.Leave a comment:

Commentary like Timothy Bradley and Sergio Mora doesn't help either.
Tomorrow there will be a throwback fight again, Tim Tszyu whose consistently fighting contenders at 154, still took on the challenge of fighting Fundora when he didn't have to after Thurman got injured. He had prepped to fight a slick fighter during camp, now he has to fight a 6'6" giant pressure fighting southpaw.
And Fundora also stepped up from fighting Bohachuk whose a difficult opponent (23-1, 23 KOs) after Fundora was coming from a loss, to fighting the champ. Props to both.Last edited by Malvado; 03-30-2024, 03:15 AM.Leave a comment:
