Comments Thread For: Canelo Alvarez: David Benavidez Offers Nothing More Than Extra 25 Pounds

So basically Benavidez being his earned WBC mandatory means nothing unless he gets paid 150 million to satisfy it..... noted!

The WBC had to strip Canelo to get him to fight Golovkin. Not sure why they can’t do it again.

If it looks like a duck, sounds like a duck. Then it is a duck

Clear duck! Just like Bud and Boots. Random is good but he strategically chose his opponents to now appear as an all time great. He was gifted a few decisions and lost to the two best people he faced. Again, he's good, but not as good as he appears to be.

Uh.....he may be better off just staying quiet about the fight, or else just saying that the fight may well happen in the future and BS'ing his way out.

He is openly admitting that he doesn't believe that he can beat Benavidez, his mandatory, and that he wants one of the biggest paydays in the history to face him. A mandatory.

So much for his excuses. He is now publicly ducking his biggest payday and the fight that the people want to see. He hasn't left his fanboys any room to argue either. Unreal.

He would beat up Benavides, no doubt. The odds would be heavily in his favor. Benavides is too aggressive for his own good and he’s never been hit by anyone close to Canelo’s power and accuracy.

All these people who say he’s ducking are keeping their hopes too high.

How can you compare Canelo/Benavidez situation to Bud & Boots
Do you know how long Benavidez was Canelo Mandatory?
                  Do some research plz

His comment about Benavides’ weight on fight night shows that he learned the lesson from the Bivol fight to never again give up that much of a weight advantage.
