Good that he listened to his body. He would had received another big payday but at what cost? Some would go for it but he seem like he is not that type of individual, he has always been a competitor, that was his biggest asset.

Actually a great story he tells here. I do like Froch. Wasn't great to watch, but he had a properly rock solid chin and plenty of guts, and I'm glad that he got out with his money made and health intact so that he, as the article says, "represents a refreshingly content figure in retirement."

Even though I'm glad he retired,
            2014 Froch would've demolished 2014 Chavez Jr.
The temptation to stay longer would be a greatest danger.
            Martinez was still around.
Maybe a random catchweight fight with Cotto.
Next thing you know he's old getting beat on by Canelo.

Perhaps six minute miling was a slight exaggeration, but he had a great career and always gave it his all

Wasn't there a potential Golovkin fight also heavily hyped?

For sure. No amount of money is worth jeopardizing your health when you already got it.

Froch is one of the best fighters ever from England. He was such a badass. Good for him.
