Not really. He’s 37 years old. Took a beating against Beterbiev and some damage against 41 year old Stevenson. 12 rounds of a high intensity war against an explosive 26 year old, younger, stronger and bigger? Doesn’t have a chance, not even a punchers one.

Going for the Bivol vs Beterbiev winner is ridiculous? Huh? That fight presents more of a legacy than drunk Charlo, 44-0 prospect Munguia or 9 fight David Morrell. Let’s think rationally. Morrell was the only interesting fight outside of Ducknelo.

At some point? It could be years and even then Canelo will just drop the belt. Only a clueless idiot would think Benavidez stands no chance vs Beterbiev. The guy went life and death with Anthony Yarde lol.

But when will that be? Smith was Beterbievs mandatory so that won't be called for 18 months. Before that will be the undisputed rematch and the WBA mandatory.

I really like this fight. David has a solid case for taking this on the fact that Gvozdyk still hasn't quite recovered his soul that was taken from him against Beterbiev. It's really going to come down to if David can keep his speed and volume at a higher weight. If Gvozdyk shrugs off the usual Benavidez barrage, the latter is in serious trouble. Excellent fight.

Very good fight. I was hoping Benny would fight Morrell in May or June. Canelo is looking weak AF fighting the Charlo sisters.

Gvozdyk weakness is a pressure fighter who has pop and Bena is that and more. I don’t see Gvozdyk having enough firepower to keep Bena off of him. Bena by attempted murder round 11. Book it.
