Al Hayman isn't a racists, he's a business man that understands his supporters and he chooses to ignores their bias at the expense of the sport of boxing. You know who Ortiz didn't get away from while fighting on the back foot? Loma. And Ortiz was infinitely more accustomed to fighting Loma than Teo since Loma and Ortiz were sparring partners. And you know why you don't see people do this to Crawford? Because it doesn't work. He has an excellent jab, a variety of power punches that he knows how to time, and great footwork.

These fights happen to Teo because Teo has never learned to be a boxer (because he's never had a real trainer) and has instead spent his whole career relying on his reflexes and athelticism. Then he goes in denial mode whenever his shortcomings make him look bad rather than looking at what he could've done better. He was literally asked in the ring what he could have done differently, and he placed all the blame again on his opponent. It's not his opponent's job to stand still and get hit.
