Comments Thread For: Hearn: A lot Has To Happen To Make Joshua-Hrgovic Possible For March

Eddie Hearn, promoter for former two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, cautions that a lot has to happen in order to finalize a fight with Filip Hrgovic - at least when it comes to a date in March.

    Code for...

There has to be a belt for AJ to fight for otherwise Hrgovic is too risky and of course there'll need to be a favourable one way rematch clause or A-Side wont get out of bed, plus the Sauds would need to pay for an IBF trash belt event.

Truth is, a lot doesn't have to happen. All it needs is for A-side Joshy to call out Hrgovic and insist Hearn make it happen.

So much for the plan Fast Eddie had mapped out last week.

The Fast One just hit warp speed...in reverse!

It’s not gonna be Hrgovic or zhang.I think Joyce gonna get a crack at AJ maybe?? .but he does pose a risk so idk… dang. A lot goes into maintaining this image and because Eddie doesn’t currently have a HW to build.. protect the cash cow.

joyce coming off 2 losses no way, probably ngannou so joshua can say look how easily i beat him and fury barely did. i deserve to fight the usyk-fury winner now, and this narrative will work especially well if fury wins

Ugh I see it. Hearn will definitely sell that trash. That’ll be the road to a fury even if he loses

Only problem with Ngannou is that he isnt an over the hill pillow fisted cherry pick or patsy sparring partner.

He will land on A-side Joshy, hurt him and possibly force him to quit for the inevitable rematch.

AJ does not want to be dragged into deep waters before a trash belt becomes available.

The optics wouldn't suit the narrative.

Didn't WBC say that wilder- Joshua would be eliminator for mandatory. Why not Joshua -Parker?
