Comments Thread For: Catterall-Hitchins: Purse Bid Postponed Until January 11 For Ordered IBF Title Eliminator

Jack Catterall and Richardson Hitchins now have another week to reach a deal for their ordered title eliminator. BoxingScene.com has confirmed the IBF granted a request to reschedule a purse bid hearing to January 11. The session was due to take place Tuesday but both parties asked for additional time to come to terms or at least find common ground surrounding their junior welterweight elimination contest.

"Both boxers are promoted by Matchroom Boxing, who informed the IBF last November of two-way interest to pursue the fight. Public comments made by both, however, suggest anything other than progress made in that regard."

It's bad enough, how hard it is to get MatchRoom vs. GBP on DAZN, but this is ridiculous!!!

It will be nice seeing two very slick boxers try to outbox each other. It may not be a war but can't wait to see which guy can solve the puzzle of the other guy. One or both guys may need to make an adjustment to their game plan if something is not working. Tightly contested fight I think.

While these guys are slick, the winner will have to face Matias which is no fun task for either guy, lol

Yeah, now we can’t even make Matchroom vs Matchroom without rounds of negotiation.

Catterall is still being punished for ruining Josh Taylor. They will age him out on inactivity....then feed us a non event Taylor rematch.

To be fair, I think it was Bob Arum that did everything possible to delay and make sure the Taylor rematch didn’t happen when it still mattered.
