  • Comments Thread For: Hearn Isn't Ruling Out Future Rematch Between Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker

From the outside looking in, it seemed as though Otto Wallin was going to give Anthony Joshua hell in the ring. The two officially met up in the main event slot last weekend in the Kingdom Arena, in Saudi Arabia.

I’ve seen one fight from Saudi and won’t be watching anymore. The amount of bum kissing was just too much….”his excelleny” this and “his excellency” that and seeing all the promoters just acting like sycophants to those house of Saud journalist killers. Negatory, not my thing. Shame all of the big U.K. fights will now go to Saudi

That is the same as saying "Mr. President" in the US. They have a caste system there so it is what it is.

Having said that, I would like to see Parker fight someone like Sanchez or Zhang as it seems AJ Fury and Usyk will be busy for a while. Parker is a few years from a title unless more of them become available

That's OK then... I suppose there's no problem with anything that exists in the world, as it is what it is.

They can chop up a man because of words he wrote and be called excellency and we should just grin and bear it.

Not me. Say it like it is. Killing Khashoggi was the actions of murderous barbarians. There is nothing "excellent" there.

With everything going on in the world it is what it is. Fact is SA is going to be host to most of not all of the biggest fights. The only one what would not be is Canelo since he fights in Vegas.

Joshua will stop Parker ,it’s either Parker will try and hold on the inside like the first fight or if he tries to win the fight he’s going to have to have much better abilities to close mid range point . He got away with a few mistakes vs Wilder but Joshua is a great counter puncher he’s not just going to stand in one spot with no offense coming back at Parker like Wilder does at the end of the day Wilder was a 213 pound guy with no boxing , Joshua is 250 pound all around balanced fighter .

People were telling me how bad Parker was going to lose against Wilder bc 270 pound Joyce stopped him which made zero sense ,what makes sense is comparing logical things , one being Joshua already has a win on Parker he has an idea of how the fight will be fought and he’s just to fast combined with size and shorter technique of punches ,he has way better distance fir such a big guy ,he doesn’t start flailing wildly in spots , had Parker measured some shots he may have knocked Wilder out when he buzzed him a few times and remained calm .

Wilder can easily make this fight happen by winning a fight against someone decent. So no problems there. There's no benefit to Joshua now though - because if he wins - everyone will say Wilder was shot and if he loses - his career goes back 2 years. Also there is less excitement about the fight now and so less money. Wilder needs to get a win or 2 and the fight is back on. Joshua could lose too. Boxing is a sport. No one wins every game or match in a sport!

That's one of the problems in boxing. One guy who manage the "money" is who decides who will fight who. The Belts, the mandatories and other rules are BS. And therefore some "real talented fighters" are ignored at least they get a good "sugar daddy" who provide them somehow elite fights...What a tragedy!
