Comments Thread For: Deontay Wilder: "I've Got To Find My Killer Instinct Back, I'm Too at Peace"

People become mellow over time. Even those who beat people up for a living. When he first stomped onto the scene, Deontay Wilder was a ruthless dictator, one that took no prisoners. After decapitating his competition, the Alabama star was eventually crowned as the heavyweight division's WBC champio

Whatever it is, the bottom line is, you're not going to do well unless you stay active. Fighting as little as Wilder did was not good no matter how you swing it. I understand taking a break, but not nearly 2 years out with a single fight that lasted less than 3 minutes. I'm telling you, these guys get paid too much and it allows them to take too much time off. There's a reason a peasant like me working a 40hr job can't take 1 year off break. I'd probably forget how to do my damn job when I get back, but more importantly, I don't think I'd have it in me to get back to that same job.

Why does Wilder give exclusive interviews to that racist 78sportstv?

Wilder doesn’t want to fight anymore. He’s done.

Wilder learned how to be happy and at peace with losing. Great for you personally but terrible for a competitor

Don't look for it. Just retire. It means you're in a good place in your life and time to move on.

"When I had that dog in me, nobody had a chance."

Must have lost it at least 5 years ago then. Strangely, 5 years ago was the first time he started fighting anyone decent.

Get a real trainer. You’re better off listening to Jay Deas. Malik Scott is a literal joke.

78 went out of his way to promote and give interviews to Wilder before Wilder blew up. I'm pretty sure it's like Jay but on a lesser level. Dude gave him time when dude's YT was bigger than him, now Wilder gives dude time.

I'm sure there's more to it but I think that's the basis.
