Comments Thread For: Wallin: Kind Of Short Notice, Joshua's Fighting Southpaw Again, New Trainer; A Lot Against Him

Otto Wallin was more than a little surprised when Anthony Joshua chose to fight him Saturday night. Joshua lost back-to-back bouts to the last left-handed opponent he faced, Oleksandr Usyk. And if Joshua beats Wallin, the former IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion is expected to battle a right-handed opponent, Deontay Wilder, next, reportedly March 9.

Joshua said he didn't fight Wilder on this card because it would need more promotion because of the 'magnitude' of the fight ...FFS it's had six years muggins!

I suppose in Wallin's favor is the way Joshua has been boxing since he's been with the Derrick guy. Very simple stuff. Helenius landed a lot on AJ. Hopefully with Ben Davidson he's going back to his usual style.

I still think AJ wins. Going 24 rounds with Usyk, has got to help him a lot. Also unlike Fury, AJ punches hard.

Otto seems very nervous before this fight. He was trying too hard at the face-off and saying all this stuff now. Should be an interesting fight
