Comments Thread For: Yoenis Tellez Produces Knockout Of The Year Candidate, Knocks Livan Navarro Cold In 10th Round

Yoenis Tellez needed nearly all 10 rounds this time, but he knocked out another more experienced opponent Friday night. The talented junior middleweight prospect viciously finished fellow Cuban Livan Navarro with a left hook in the 10th and final round of their 154-pound bout on the Jake Paul-Andre August undercard at Caribe Royale Orlando in Orlando, Florida. Tellez (7-0, 6 KOs) dropped Navarro in the third round, yet he appeared on his way to a convincing points victory before his picturesque left hook knocked Navarro unconscious.

This kid carries his power late and seems pretty composed, he did eat a lot of punches though so he needs to tighten up that defense a bit. Either way he's a pretty good fighter to watch and there are a lot of matches for him at 154.

          Livan wasn't slouch.

Yeah he was obviously skilled too, but just saying against better competition he can't eat those shots so freely.

I know, maybe he felt that Livan couldn't hurt him.
