  • Comments Thread For: Sunny Edwards: Bam Rodriguez is a Great Fighter - But He's Not Been in The Ring With Me Yet!

By Thomas Gerbasi - Saturday's flyweight title bout between Jesse "Bam" Rodriguez and Sunny Edwards doesn't have the buzz among casual fans that last weekend's Devin Haney-Regis Prograis fight did, and it certainly won't match the hype afforded to December 23rd's heavyweight card in Saudi Arabia.

this can be a challenge for Bam but it is not a challenge he has not had before will it look diferent ? Will it take longer ? Will he get frustrated at a miss or a slight shift in the guy who he thought would be in front of him when to fired one or two off ? Lets hope so there are runner's there are dancers but Sunny is slick and has moves and lives off of those things it is subtle but it is boxing it is something the half of boxing that can get missed it is hit and not get hit touch him make him fight a dif fight..............all good stuff Sunny is not a runner he has skills in the ring we all know what bam bam bam bam "the flintstone kid" can do and has done he is not a one shot guy either yet one shot will change everything could be nice.

I'd be surprised if this ends up being an entertaining classic, one for the purists.

is that a bad promo pic or what ? Sunnyboy looks like an old man with a bad disease or something.......hope he looks healthier doing his ring walk bc boy has got to move shift and glide thru this fight to win and impress for another fight in the future not that he is looking to the future -- his future is now or never...............

Bam is no slouch--he took out 2 champions already. Should be entertaining.

That boy always looks like that…Not to talk about another man’s looks but every time I see him it’s like “Damn!!”

maybe it was the first time i noticed him in a still pic or maybe he is a little more raged looking but the fight itself is really interesting to me. might have to watch it late or go accross town or whatever but it holds interest. remember Heno v Sota in what 19 ? Acosta was in the mix around that time. Most know Nakatani and a few others-- will this be a fight to remember never know until the bells ring out. that is boxing some fights match ups or fighters draw us in we dont need no damn promo guys telling us what fights to watch we know in advance....................
