Making 135 pounds has been incredibly difficult for Jamaine Ortiz. Normally, once it gets closer to fight week, his face is sunken in, his rib cage is protruding from his skin, and the muscles he usually has are simply gone.

What a bonehead , you're supposed to call out the winner of a fight , at the very least the guy that you are saying will win. Calling out the loser is a bit backward.

I guess he wants to use Prograis as a stepping stone into 140. So, he didn't say anything wrong here.

I get what you're saying obviously you want fighters to call out the best but he's not gonna get a fight with the winner so he's being realistic. Even if prograis loses this fight it's a still a good fight for him going up to 140lbs facing what would be a former 2x world champion in the weight class. I'd say it would be his toughest fight still but he's fought Loma hasn't he
