True, it’s a quick money grab for some ATG retired boxers(*cough TBE, Iron Mike, Roy, etc), but it’s also a chance for them to freestyle. Boxing is one of the very few original sports that never had any type of “All-Star”, Pro Bowl, type of events, therefore it’s great to see some of those retired ATGs out there in the ring freestyling and having fun all while displaying that they were once and still is someone not to be ****ed with.

For safety measures and health concerns, I’d recommend some of them to wear headgears and just convert it into a plain sparring session because that’s exactly what some of them are (looking at you, TBE). Lol.

None of those events should be on PPV point blank period, but they should ALL get their money out of it for participating one way or another especially if some fans casual and hardcore alike are still willing to travel and buy tickets to watch them. Let them have their fun and freestyle.

It’s funny watching Floyd nowadays doing his best impression of dumbing down his style, walking in front of his opponent with his hands down, in a wide/square up stance, throwing sloppy punches, doing Broner-level type of in-ring theatrics, aka, Clown ****. It all started with his circus event with Conor, where he was beyond sloppy whether on purpose or not, but yeah, that wasn’t the once great and nearly invincible TBE that I’ve been a fan of. Lol

Fighters should really start making some of their private sparring sessions available to buy or rent, they could get a lot of money doing so. I know for sure if Floyd were to release some never before seen footage of some of his full sparring sessions from back then, I’d be the first to try to buy some of them. Sparring sessions really display the level of preparation and mental focus of what made those legendary ATG who they are. I’m willing to bet some of them had more exciting sparring sessions than a few of their in-ring fights.

Its just entertainment, no championship stakes on the line it doesn't matter much who wins scoring rds with a microscope. Clearly Mike pulled his punches and could have hurt Roy and if it were a real fight he would have won but they scored it a draw so what?
