Top Rank has added to its growing featherweight portfolio. BoxingScene.com has confirmed that the Las Vegas-based promotional company won the rights to the Otabek Kholmatov-Raymond Ford vacant WBA featherweight title fight. Top Rank submitted a $317,500 offer to outbid Matchroom Boxing ($255,555.55), Ford's promoter, during a purse bid held Monday from WBA's U.S. headquarters in Houston, Texas.

I've seen Kholmatov once. I'm surprised one fight has given him followers.

I’ve seen him twice, and now I’m following his career. I like Ford also, seen him since the beginning of his fights getting aired on DAZN.

What’s wrong with watching a fighter once or twice and becoming a fan? I think it’s more you just dislike central Asian fighters than you’re surprised he has fans, cause you’re always bashing Janibek as well.

Both lack experience at the top level but I need to see more of Kholmatov, seems technical, big for the weight with good footwork.
Ford looks like he has potential although he's shown weaknesses against pressure fighters, however, Kholmatov prefers to box - should be a good fight.

I've seen kholmotov fight a few times and he looks very well schooled sets his punches up well and there is power there. Not a fan of when he posts online him knocking out sparring partners but him and ford should be a interesting fight because ford is a good fighter but he definitely ain't the finished article and this might be a little to early for him
