Comments Thread For: Ryan Garcia Wants Gervonta Davis Rematch But Without Rehydration Clause

It was the same reoccurring dream for Ryan Garcia. Whenever he laid his head at night and tucked himself in, Garcia saw the carcass of Gervonta Davis lying at his feet. His tattooed body remained motionless as a roaring crowd stood on its feet, half applauding Garcia while the other half placed their hands over their mouths in disbelief.

Next time Gervonta will ask to have Ryan's hands tied up.

          Water wouldn't help..

What makes Tank special is that his defense and patience is impeccable. He doesn't have to aggressively attack his opponents. He just waits for them to throw the same punch three times in a row, and counters.

Not a big fan of rehydration clauses. Both guys have equal opportunity on put on weight. If someone makes weight that should be it. Period. It's Garcia's fault for allowing it. Reminds me of Hagler/Leonard. Marvin was so confident that he gave in to all the concessions. Turned out to be a bad move!

I could be wrong about this but it seemed to me like Ryan quit against Tank because he couldn't take the mental pressure of continuing the fight. He seemed overwhelmed by everything.

De La Hoya tried to advise him against the rehydration clause but Ryan was too stubborn.

                  He should have listened.

Cryan gonna feel really bad once he get handed his second pro defeat...and not necessarily in a rematch with Tank. Boy just not that good enough.
