Comments Thread For: Wood: That Was My Best Win; Josh Is A 2-Time World Champion, Massive Scalps On His Record

Leigh Wood got off to a strong start Saturday night and emphatically ended his featherweight title fight against Josh Warrington. Wood was far from his best in between, but the WBA featherweight champion considers his seventh-round stoppage of a two-time world champion and domestic rival the biggest win of his **-year professional career. It unquestionably

Lol I'm sorry but the brits have such low standards when it comes to boxing.

"Massive name" cmon Wood Warrington would be a C or B level fighter in the states so would you..

what are those "massive" names he beat? Lol you're best win was a Hearn set up Lara who was jobbd at the scales and parting hard weeks before the fight, and he knocked you out cold a few months before that.

Lara is his best win imo just for the fact Wood avenged a brutal KO loss. Warrington is damaged goods.

The division doesn't change when in another country. That makes absolutely no sense. Who are these secret fighters who would appear in the states? Warrington was the number 1 in the world before having to fight Lara when being out for far too long and in a restricted training camp due to the lockdowns while Lara was active.

Of course you don't understand what Wood was saying. Your reading comprehension is shocking. He was talking about Frampton who Warrington beat. You know, the Frampton that beat the likes of Donaire, Santa Cruz, Kiko and such.

As for the low standards... We're not the ones going after horribly inactive fighters all the time because we can't win a fight otherwise like you. Mexicans like you are even praising a stinking win over a fighter two weight classes smaller and out for 18 months. Shot fighters like Kovalev who had no time to rest and drained by contract to weaken him further. Shot smaller fighters like Mosley. That would be evidence of low standards.

Lara wasn't jobbed on the scales. You're lying. Lara went through the same process he went through the other 3 times. The WBC has the same process to ensure safety for fighters. Lara knew what he was doing. Her didn't feel comfortable fighting Leigh without his inactivity being at play. He did what so many Mexicans do on the scales. He cheated to gain advantage. You know, like they're doing all over the place.
