Herring is one of the “good guys” in boxing — a friendly and accessible personality. But, at 38 years old, coming off two hard losses, and inactive for a year and a half, he’s being ill-advised to launch a comeback. No doubt he’ll breeze through Molina who has primarily competed against guys with upside down records (in fact, this is such a mismatch, it’s surprising the NYSAC is approving it). But, the future is clear, and it’s not bright. Sadly, there are very few happy endings in boxing.
